Ukrainian troops are planning a provocation with a strike on civilians in the suburbs of Slavyansk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), said the head of the National Center for Defense Control of Russia Mikhail Mizintsev, his words are quoted department in Telegram.
“It is known for certain that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine <…> is preparing another large-scale provocation with the death of civilians, allegedly as a result of indiscriminate strikes by the Russian Armed Forces. To implement it, mortar crews have been deployed in the suburbs of Sloviansk in the Donetsk People's Republic, with which it is planned to shell the places of compact residence of the local population and refugees on August 7, 2022 <…> during the distribution of humanitarian aid»,— said in the message.

According to Mizintsev, they plan to carry out a provocation at a point on Geologicheskaya Street. They want to take a photo and video of it, and then distribute it in Ukrainian and Western media, accusing the Russian military of killing civilians.
The Ministry of Defense has repeatedly accused the Ukrainian troops of preparing provocations against the Russian military. Similar accusations were made against the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). In particular, on July 25, the department announced that servicemen were going to blow up more than 120 tons of hexane at an oil and fat plant in Slovyansk and accuse the Russian military of indiscriminate strikes. After the explosion, the ministry noted, a toxic cloud should have appeared that could spread over more than 10 km. As a result, all residential areas of Slovyansk and neighboring settlements could fall into the zone of chemical destruction, the Ministry of Defense added.
The ministry has repeatedly stressed that Russian troops do not strike civilians and social infrastructure and only hit military facilities .
