The Government of the Russian Federation approved a decree on the advance purchase of medicines for children with serious illnesses, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The grant will be provided to the Circle of Kindness fund.
The new rules will come into force on January 1, 2022. They imply the possibility of purchasing drugs and medical devices in advance for the first quarter of each next year at the expense of the funds provided by the grant for the current year. The Cabinet of Ministers believes that this will prevent an interruption in drug provision and treatment of seriously ill children when the calendar year changes.
The rest of the rules for grant support to the fund have not changed. So, the “ Circle of Good '' will continue to receive funding for the provision of expensive medical care to children, including for treatment abroad, the purchase of medicines, including those not registered in the Russian Federation, medical devices and technical means of rehabilitation.
In 2022, the federal budget provides 78 , 6 billion rubles, in 2023 & ndash; 84 billion rubles. The money goes to the federal budget through deductions from the increased personal income tax rate, which is valid for incomes of more than five million rubles a year.
Yesterday Vladimir Putin called for solving the issue of providing medicines to adults with SMA. While the Circle of Good Foundation provides the necessary drugs to patients with spinal muscular atrophy only up to the age of 18.
It was also reported that Russian medical institutions purchased Spinraza; by 17 billion rubles. This drug is used to treat spinal muscular atrophy.
