Snow and up to 6 degrees below zero are expected in Moscow on Sunday

Cloudy weather, snow and ice are expected in Moscow on Sunday, January 9, according to the official website of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation.

According to forecasters, during the day the air temperature in the capital will be from minus four up to minus six degrees. On Monday night, the temperature in the city can drop to minus eight degrees.

In the Moscow region, during the day, it is expected from three to eight degrees of frost. At night in the region it can get colder up to minus 11 degrees.

The wind is south and southeast at a speed of up to 11 meters per second. The atmospheric pressure will be 747 millimeters of mercury.

Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, also said that a record number of dangerous weather events were recorded in Russia in 2021.
