Russia is ready to support the work of the WHO office on noncommunicable diseases

Secretary of State – Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Alexandra Dronova said that Russia is ready to continue supporting the work of the World Health Organization European Office for the Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases in Moscow, TASS reports.

On e According to the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation assists WHO in its work with member countries in the field of prevention of non-communicable diseases by financing and supporting the European office functioning in Moscow.

“We express our readiness to continue to support the work of the office in Moscow”, &mdash ; she stressed.

Earlier, the WHO European Office adopted a draft resolution suggesting the possibility of closing the Moscow office for noncommunicable diseases. 

In turn, the vice speaker of the lower Chambers of Parliament Petr Tolstoy said that the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a list of agreements with international organizations to the State Duma for consideration for their denunciation. 

These include the World Health Organization and the World Trade Organization.
